what is difference between truth and false?

I can't answer this for all contexts, but I can answer for truth claims.
Suppose you point to a Red Delicious apple, asking, "What is that?"
I answer, "It is an apple," which is a true statement, because it is, in fact, an apple. In other words, my words are true because they correspond with reality.
However, suppose I had answered, "It is an orangutan." That would be a lie, because my words did not correspond with reality. After all, an apple is not an orangutan.
Absence of truth is lie.
Lie needs to be remembered. Truth doesn’t.
Lie ties you with itself. Truth sets you free.
Lie lets you live with regret. Truth doesn’t.
Lie is easy to speak. Truth is difficult.
Lie gives temporary happiness. Truth gives temporary pain.
