Euclid's division lemma helps us to find HCF of two numbers. It's formula is a=bq+r.

To find HCF you need to follow these steps:

1) Take the bigger number as divident and smaller number as divisor and divide them once( for one step)

2) what reminder you get, make it as divisor and take the previous divisor as dividend to the new reminder and divide.

3) Again divide and continue this process till you get a reminder as 0.

4) the divisor for which reminder was 0 is said to be the HCF of the given two numbers.
