Barter system was used in ancient time in it people used to exchange products like I have 1kg rice and you have 1kg wheat and I want wheat and you want rice so I will exchange my rice with your wheat the demerit is like the price of wheat and rice is not same so one will be in loss and it was also very difficult to find people for exchanging your product
