  • Numbers are figures used to define the quantity of something or to simple count. the idea of numbers occured to mainly the romans and the indians at first but the idea spread.
  • Real numbers are a collection a numbers which include rational numbers ( those numbers that can be expressed in the form p/q where p and q are non zero integers) and irrational numbers (those numbers which have non terminating, non recurring decimals)
  • Complex numbers are a collection of numbers which consist of a real part and an imaginary part.
  • E.g.: In a+ib, a is the real part while ib is the imaginary part which simply means a+\sqrt{-b\\.
