Here,

M=Mass

R=Radius

Moment of Inertia (MI) of a ring of r radius = Mr²  --------(i)

Moment of Inertia (MI) of a ring of r radius= M(nr)² = Mn²r² -------(ii)

On dividing (i) by (ii)

The ratio comes out to be:

Mr²/ Mn²r² = 1/n²
