What is the co-efficient of x² in the following -
√2 x-1
This question was in NCERT Book but what I didn't understand is that there is no x² here , only a x so how do we find the coefficient?
The answer is 0 but how???​

You can add n number of terms multiplied by 0 to a number and the value won't change

Step-by-step explanation:

√2 x-1 can be written as,

0x {}^{2}  +  \sqrt{2} x - 1

(This is because 0 has no value and 0 multiplied by x square also equals to zero and adding 0 to a number does not change the number)

For example,

0+5 = 5

0 + 6 = 6

0 + x = x

From this we van see that the coefficient of x square is 0
