what is the difference between vector and scalar quantity

Vector quantity having magnitude and direction but scalar quantity have only magnitude no direction.

vector quantity have both magnitude and direction..
but scalar quantity have magnitude only..
exapmle of vector are: force, velocity etc.
and example of scalar quantity are: speed, distance etc.
