Leg haemoglobin is found in cytoplasm of cells infected by bacteria ex. Rhizobium.

Leg haemoglobin is found inside the membrane of  bacteriod in a  nodule and it helps to maintain the anaerobic condition for enzyme nitrogenase  and acts as oxygen scavenger(I.e removes oxygen)
