Here in this sentence " sit down " , you is the subject ,which is hidden. Here you is understood.

In this sentence the speaker is giving a direct command to another person, and might have said,

you sit down.

The rule to remember for a sentence that is a command is that if the subject is not named, we can assume that subject is “you."

Hope it helps

heya!!!

as we know that, a SUBJECT is a thing or a person by whom or frm action carries out....

"sit down" is a imperative sentence, in imperative sentences subject is usually left out.

as we know this, subject in any sentence comes at the first of the sentences.

but in imperative sentences there is no subject.

THANKS!

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!
