Given :

  • Kinetic Energy of helium is equal to kinetic energy of argon
  • Mole of helium (n1) = 0.3
  • Mole of argan (n2) = 0.4
  • Temperature of argon (T2) = 400K

To Find :

  • Temperature of Helium (T1)

Formula Used :

\bullet\underline{\boxed{\sf KE = \dfrac{3}{2}nRT}}

n = mole

R = Gas Constant

T = Temperature

Solution :

\implies{\sf KE_{He}=KE_{Ar}}

\implies{\sf \dfrac{3}{2}n_1RT_1=\dfrac{3}{2}n_2RT_2}

\implies{\sf n_1T_1=n_2T_2}

\implies{\sf 0.3 \times T_1=0.4 \times 400}

\implies{\sf T_1=\dfrac{0.4 \times 400}{0.3}}

\implies{\sf T_1=\dfrac{160}{0.3} }

\implies{\bf T_1=533.3K}

Answer :

Temperature for helium is 533.3K
