Minerals, Vitamins, sugar and foods to body cells are carried by Plasma of the blood.

Explanation:

Blood is composed of four different parts namely:

• Red blood corpuscles (RBC)

• White blood corpuscles (WBC)

• Platelets

• Plasma

Each part of the cell is specific to certain functions. The RBC is involved in transportation of oxygen all over the body. The WBC act as body’s defense mechanism and protects it from antigen invasion.

Injured tissues are repaired and healed by platelets. Lastly the liquid portion in blood called plasma is involved in transportation of minerals, vitamins, sugar and other foods to the body cells.
