what preparation should we make while going to field visit

We should 1st take a map of where we are going to visit ,then a pen , pencil to write about the location ,then a compass to show u the right direction , u should prepare a questionnaire to get info. about the place,and then finally when u reached the place u should take interview of the people available there to gain more information about the place.........
