northern Ireland population is divided into two major sect of Christianity which is consist of 44 percent are Roman Catholic and 53 percent are protestant.the catholics were represented by Nationalist party who demanded that Northern islands unified with the Republic of Ireland predominantly Catholic country. the protestant where represented by unionist who wanted to remain with the UK which is predominantly protestant.
