An MLA may be required to fulfill as many as four distinct roles: The role of Legislator involves understanding the spirit of existing laws, planning new laws, and studying, discussing and then supporting or opposing the enactment of new laws. ... As a member of the legislative assembly or MLA,  the chief responsibility will be to convey the issues of the people in the Assembly during the sessions.

As I am elected as a representative of the people, my chief responsibility will be to address the issues and come up with solutions.
