When when a discount of 15% is allowed on the Marked price of an article it is sold for rupees 2975 calculate its mark Pride price

hence .85x = 2975
x = 2975/.85 = 3500

SP = Rs2975

Discount = d = 15%

Marked price = mp

mp = ( SP × 100 ) /( 100 - d )

= ( 2975 × 100 ) / ( 100 - 15 )

= ( 2975 × 100 ) / 85


= 35 × 100

= Rs 3500

mp = Rs 3500
