Which element has the largest atomic radius and which has the smallest: Na, Mg, and Be? Mg > Na > Be Why was this the correct answer? what method can I use to avoid getting tricked by one of these questions?

Na is group 1 element having 1 electron in outer shell

Be has 2 electron in outer shell , due to high electrostatic force it has lower size than Na

Mg is group 2 element but in next period of Be and Na having extra shell than Na and Be havinv larger size than Na

to crack this trick you have to learn first 20 elements atleast
