The amount of energy exerted by human body is measured in calorie

The definition for calorie is :

A calorie is the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of 1 gram of water by 1° C

The term calorie was specifically used by nutritional researchers, biologists and chemist besides it is better to keep the terms seprate from mechanics and electricity to the body energy values

For force time we use joules and for food we use calories

1 calorie =4.184 Joules

So,

1 kcal = 4184 Joules

(kcal = kilo calories)
