Fishes usually don’t appear to have ears. But it is not really so.

They do possess the hearing capacity to escape from predators.

The sound transmission in water is 4 times faster than air.

They have the hearing range of 30-1000 Hz.

Only the tail region of the fish don’t possess the hearing capacity.

Which part of a fish's body does not help it to hear.? Answer: The tail of the fish does not help it to hear.

Fishes do not have ears for hearing but they can sense vibration. These vibration alert the fish about the dangers and predators and thus they can save themselves. We know that in water sound travels at a rate of four times as that of the air. So fishes can persive the sound as vibration on their body. Only in the tail they doesn't perceive.
