Acquired traits are due to changes in the life style, injury, loss of body parts, disuse of some body parts. These are the traits which occur in the somatic cells. Changes in the somatic cells are not passed on to the offspring belonging to next generation.

Acquired traits are which cannot be transferred from parents to next generation because they are gained by daily experiences plus try takes place in the body cell. For example, knowledge, obesity, etc. Where as the inherited traits takes place in the germ cell and are inherited from the parents to the next generation.
