when current flows through a conductor, heat energy generated in the conductor.the heating effect of an electric current depends on resistance and higher resistance produce more heat.

hey mate your answer is....
________________________
Electric current is the flow of charge carriers which are electrons . when a potential difference is occurred through a conductor electric field will created and influence the flow of electrons in a particular direction......when they flow in a direction they collide with lattice (stationary. ...positively charged atoms) and lose energy .......the energy and rate of collisions make a feeling to us that what we called as heat ......
hope it helps........
