1.Multiculturalism or multi culturalis the cultural and demographic diversity of communities and the policies that promote this diversity.

2.There are wide variation in multicultural ideologies or policies, it advocates equal respect to the various cultures in a society, promoting cultural diversity and policies with which people of various ethnic and religious groups are addressed by the nation's government.

3.. It is closely associated with 'identity politics' or 'the politics of recognition'.Multicultural ideologies and policies differ from one country to another.

4.For instance,Canada and Australia is a multi culture country.They give social importance to immigration of people of different ethnic and religion group.In CanadaPunjabinow stands right behind Canada's two official languages- English and French.

5.Countries like Japan,South Korea, China and Arabs etc. do not believe in ethnic diversity and prefer once nation with one race.Though these countries has accepted other religions, granting them permission to have their temples or churches but all foreigners reside in the country as temporary workers.
