We know that argon is a noble gas. Also all noble gases are monoatomic gases meaning having only one atom in one molecule. And even these gases have valency as 0.Therefore Argon cannot form Ar2 molecule.

Well if you know Ar is one of the inert gasses which means they have their complete octet shell every element is hungry to complete their octets hence they react with others elements but in case or Ar and all other noble gasses they have naturally filled shells (octets) hence they never bother to react or any thing they are free and monoatomic bcoz they have set of eight electrons and are unreactive in normal conditions
