why do diarrhea patients in hospital usually given glucose drip ?

because in diarrhoea patient in the faeces (waste matter ) increases the fulidty or liquidity and hence more amount of water is lossed and hence they provided gulcoe drip and also for dehydration .. i hope it is ryt answer
