Answer:

a) because higher animals has specialized structures for respiration and it is not very much easy to perform with whole body so they do not show body surface respiration.

b) i) Oxygen enters the blood from the lungs and carbon dioxide is expelled out of the blood into the lungs.

ii) The blood serves to transport both gases.

iii) Oxygen is carried to the cells.

iv) Carbon dioxide is carried away from the cells.

c)This double circulatory system is important because it ensures provision of oxygenated blood to the muscle and not a mixture of oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood. Hence, this system ensures efficient supply of oxygenated blood to the muscles.

Answer:

a) unicellular organismhas simple body structure so they get enough energy for their needs from diffusion or osmosis but in case of heigher organism they have complex body structure made of tissues organs oragan system ,they didn't get enough energy for their needs through body surface respiration .

b) Oxygen and CO2 are transported through blood , the pigment called heamoglobin in blood help to transport O2 and co2.

c)double circulation reffers to two times circulation of blood through body i) oxygenated blood from heart through different body parts &ii) deoxygenated blood from all body parts to the heart . it is necessary to transport oxygen and food to every cell of our body and meet the energy requirements .
