Why does a child have 300 bones wheras an adult has only 206 bones?

A child has 300 bones at birth . These bones eventually join to make 206 bones that an adult have.

There are 300 bones in new born and 206 in adults as when born the bones r not well oscified cause the need space and time to grow ie through epiphysis and diaphysis they are the parts of long bones from where enlongation of bones takes place.....
