Why is it important to seperate religion from the state? Give reasons.

It is important seperate religion from the state:

1) so that a country functions democratically.

2) to stop tranny of the majority and the violation of fundamental rights.

3) to protect the freedom of individuals to exit from their religion, embrace another religion or have the freedom to interpret religious teaching differently.

It is important to separate religion from the state because by the separation of religion, we can easily count the Population rate in state.
