because it exist its own in nature. There is no human hands to make this therefore lake considered to be a natural ecosystem

according to me :-*it helps to regulate the flow of rivers and prevent flooding during heavy rain and also helps to maintain an even flow of water during dry season.
*it is also used as hydro power.
