Loranthus plants are also known partially parasite plants.
These plants are known as follows as they absorb nutrients from other plants as parasite. The plants from which they absorb are known as host plant.
Loranthus plants mostly feed from angiosperms mostly mango trees. They are attached to the Arial parts of the plants so they do not have defined roots system. They have structure called hostoria attached on the host to absorbe water and nutrition.
