why is the rate of breathing in aquatic organism much faster than in Terrestrial organisms

Rate of breathing in aquatic organisms is more because the amount of oxygen dissolved in water is very less so to meet Thier need of oxygen they have fast breathing rate

Because the solubility of oxygen is less in water as compare in air . At high temprature , Pressure is decrease so that the rate of breathing in aquatic organism much faster than in terrestrial organisms.
