why kerosene stoves and bunsen burners have small holes in them?(Hint; think about the role of air combustion)

The holes provide a passage for oxygen for the complete and non smokey burning of fuel. As without oxygen the fuel will not burn and the burners will fail to be lighted up

Phosphorus is highly reactive with air containing oxygen.it has low ignition temperature .So, it catches fire at room temperature. So it is preserved in water.
