why moon is called non luminous body

In order for us to see an object that isnon-luminous, it must reflect some of the light it receives from a luminoussource, such as the Sun. Most of theobjects we see, such as cars, clouds or even the Moon, are not luminous; it is just that they reflect sunlight.

moon is not called a luminous body bcuz it doesn't emit light of it's own but it is reflective body bcuz it reflcts the light from the sun
