Dear Student,
◆ Greenhouse effect -
- Greenhouse gases are water vapour, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone and nitrous oxide.
- These gases prevents the radiations from the earths atmosphere to escape.
- Therefore, heat gets trapped in the earths atmosphere and temprature near the surface of earth is increased.
- As this same phenomenon occurs in greenhouses, this is called greenhouse effect.
- Greenhouse effect is the prime cause for global warming.
- It is increasing day-by-day due to rise in automobiles, air pollution, etc.
Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
