Answer:

Two national anthems were sung because they wanted to pay honor and respects to the whites and the blacks equally. Second reason was that it was the pattern to remove all racial differences. One anthem was related to the whites and other was related to the blacks.

Answer:

Two national anthems were sung for two types of people. South Africa had whites as well as blacks. One anthem ‘Nkosi Sikelel –iAfrika’ was sung for the Whites; and the other, ‘Die Stem’ was sung for the Blacks.

The military generals saluted Nelson Mandela. Their attitude had undergone a change over the years. A few years they would have not saluted him, but arrested him.

This change came in their attitude because now Nelson Mandela had been elected as the President of South Africa.
