ONE SHOULD EAT TO LIVE NOT LIVE TO EAT - the well known quote has been taken from the pay THE MISER.

The above said quote has two different meanings, the external and the inner meaning. Externally it says that human beings need food to live and keep a healthy life. Biology suggests a proper dietary and supplements to keep healthy but in limited quantity. But often we find that most of the people eat more than what he or she needs. This sometimes cause serious problems or illness. So in order to keep fit and healthy we should consume our food in measured quantity but not essessive.

To its inner meaning , excess anything is very bad. In our day to day life ,we often do something that we should not do repeatedly. For example , we should never scold our child more and more is case of his bad results in exam as it may lead to him or her into depression.
