Twentieth of Six Month, Thirtieth Year
I sit here, slouched depressively in a dark corner of the Ambermill Inn, with a stinky, old cigar stuck in my gritted teeth, its tip blazing in a tiny flame, smokes enveloping from my tired mouth.
When last I looked upon the grasses of my homeland, it was green and pleasant, and yet also snowy in the middle. My people were there, and lord Perenolde. We lived careless, despite the dwarven interruptions with their war at Alterac.
What is there left of my homeland today, that is less but a debris of sorrow and endless depression. As I passed by the Dalaran Crater, I felt as if I entered a dark hollow and had only been waiting for a dark hand to pull me into the shadow realm.
The course of wind is changing, I feel now. My days of old come to pass, yet a new energy is siphoned in my half crippled corpse. Mayhaps will I have to go against the winds, but I seek to remain strong.
The Duke shall lead me wisely.
