Dear (name of friend),

I hope you are doing well. As you know already, yesterday our results had been declared and you were quite disheartened to see yours. I hope I'm able to cheer you up through this letter.

I was saddened to see tears in your eyes as you gazed at your answerscript. But let me tell you that one bad grade does not mean that your world has fallen apart. Please do not remain sad about the poor result but instead concentrate on the mistakes you have made and try to improve yourself on those areas. Remember, failure is the stepping stone to success. If you have failed, it does not mean that you are a bad student or you are not smart enough, it simply means that there are loopholes in your studying method that you need to focus upon. This is an opportunity for you to learn, so don't waste it.I had faced the same situation last term when I failed in mathamatics. But I did not let failure stand in my way, I consulted the teacher about ways to improve myself, practised relentlessly and aced the next exam. I'm sure even you can do it. Everyone makes mistakes , even great scientists like Thomas Alva Edison did not succeed always. But they never gave up despite failures. Please do not give up on your hopes. If there is any way I can help you, let me know. All the best for your next exam.

Send my regards to Uncle and Aunty. I will wait for your reply.

With love,

(your name)

Dear

Brother:

I hope this

letter find you in the best of your health and spirits. I know you must be feeling

depressed and sad on account of failure in examinations. Well, I would advise

you to keep in mind the precept: ‘Try and try again until you succeed.’ Your failure

means you did not work hard.

Well, let

the past bury its dead. Focus on future now. I would suggest you to make a

time-table to keep a close tab on your study time. If there is any subject that

you need special care to take, I would advise you to take coaching from an

expert teacher. However, there is no substitute for self-studies and hard work.

I hope you are studying very hard. High grades are a must for taking admission

in a high-ranking college. Give warm regards to mother, father, and

grandparents. Lots of love to you.

Yours

lovingly,

Samarth

Khana
