The full form of MNREGA is Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Act.
MNREGA provides local employment.
MNREGA lays down that any adult member wiling to do unskilled manual work and who is looking for work must be given work by the government.
MNREGA gives work to the rural people for 100 days and it gives money for their work..

NREGA stands for "Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act 2005" it was implemented by the central government.

It was passed for promoting rural employment for people who are living below poverty line and are able to, and willing to work have been guarantee 100 days employment in a year by the government.

If government fails to fulfil or provide employment to those people who registered there name under this Act will be given unemployment allowance.

It is applicable for only 200 districts, now it is extended to 330 districts of india
