The sense of touch had received supreme importance in the sphere of sences from ancient time.The organ involved is our skin.
Our skin is the sense organ for touch.It contains cutaneous receptor for touch.The skin consists of two main layers called dermis and epidermis.
Epidermis is the layer for protection.It has a sweat pores and small hairs.It contains three layers.They are outer stratum corneum or cornified layer contains deadcells, middle granular layer, contains living cells and inner malphigian layer contains the cells dividing constantly . Dermis lies below the epidermis.It is made up of elastic connective tissue. It contains sweat glands, sebaceous glands,hair follicles, blood vessels and fats.
