Answer: Trees are the most important part of our daily life, it is the reason of our existence. It gives us food and oxygen. Apart from basically keeping us alive, there are many other little and big benefits we get from trees. So, trees are vital resources for the survival of all living beings.  Trees improve air quality by acting as natural air filters removing dust, smoke and fumes from the atmosphere by trapping them on their leaves, branches and trunks. Just 1 hectare of beech woodland can extract 4 tonnes of dust per year from the atmosphere.  Trees reduce the 'Greenhouse' effect by removing carbon dioxide from the air and releasing oxygen. Each year a mature tree produces enough oxygen for 10 people. Trees are also an effective sound barrier and can limit noise pollution. Recent research shows that trees also help reduce the stress of modern life. Trees need to be conserved as they play a pivotal role in our ecosystem. Moreover, trees are considered as natural carbon sinks, which means they have the ability to soak up carbon dioxide from the environment and store it within themselves. This not only reduces the amount of carbon dioxide in our environment but also the impact of the greenhouse effect. Hence, trees play a variety of important roles from ecosystems to environmental cleansers. Thus, trees play an important role in our life.

Hope this will help you

Answer:

Importance of trees

We depend on trees for our survival. The oxygen of the air that we breathe to stay alive is released by trees. Trees absorb the harmful carbon dioxide and release life-supporting oxygen. This reduces the level of carbon dioxide in the air and decreases the cases of lungs cancer and other diseases of the respiratory system.

Trees are home to many animals and birds. Many animals feed on tree leaves to survive. Trees offer us shade when it is hot. But despite our dependence on trees, we are continuing to cut them down. This is one of the reasons for global warming.

The roots of trees prevent soil erosion. The absence of trees leads to desertification. Trees retain rainwater in the soil. This rainwater is then available to us in springs and wells during the dry season. Without trees rainfall decreases and cultivation becomes impossible and there will be food scarcity.

Many trees have medicinal values and save lives. Trees reduce air and noise pollution. Trees also add beauty to our surroundings. Let us stop felling trees and plant more trees.
