Why shouldn't we be happy on this Earth Day?
As of now, 130k+ humans already have died with the inclusion of 310k+ newborns making the world population for humans nearly 7.7 billions today.
If we take the number of other life forms, it will cross some quintillion for sure. A few million lives are dying out there and a few million lives are trying to survive another second.
We, humans are the most selfish and the most stupid creatures on earth. Though we have defined ourselves to be the most brilliant and gentle of all creatures put together, we haven't yet learnt that we ourselves are destroying the earth each millisecond. We are destroying our own inhabitants!
• Wars : Bloodshed and deaths around us with daggers drawn! When a war takes place, it takes not only the lives of a few hundred men but also it destroys a few square kilometres of biological atmosphere- causing the death of thousands of life forms.
• Development : In the name of development and growth of scientific discoveries, we have walked away so far that often I wonder that earth will become a deadly weapon someday but who will hold the detonator!
We have already reached to a red-zone or alert zone from where there is no turning back. Either we have to find another earth or we have to fix what we have caused to this planet ourselves.
We imagine: we can do it but how come we will do it; where each group of people have divided ourselves into subgroups on the basis of religions, ethnicity, caste, policies, ideologies, education, wealth, power etc.
What did we do till now? We did differentiate ourselves instead of integrating for a far greater purpose. We need to UNITE instead of dividing ourselves from others.
Truly to say, we are suffering from a disease of becoming machines, in which we born, we grow up, we run behind wealth and recognitions. Are we so small as those letters craved on this writing pad!
To whom I'm talking even! We want to prove our words to be the most correct only. We want our expectations to be fulfilled only. We want to establish something new to this earth by introducing something more polluted.
Brothers and sisters, how come will we stand together when the mind is diseased and paralysed. We need to fix the clock to get the time correct!
