Write an essay in 120 words on 'Why honesty is important in friendship'

Friendship is like a building that requires different materials to be strong enough to go long ways. Those different materials are trust, kindness, two-sided contribution, strong bonds, and most important of all HONESTY. 

Faithfulness goes long distances even if it's alone. It's not about why you do or what do you do, It's about How you do it? Friendship is that bridge which can not be crossed until and unless both the persons apply equal balance. 

Friendship doesn't last long if two people aren't honest to one another. After all, Friendship is a precious gift of life. And if you're lucky enough to get this gift of true friendship, value it. 

Honest is just another yet important factor that determines how strong the friendship will be. And if this factor is absent in the relationship, I fear the friendship will be another worst memory to leave behind.

Honesty is a great virtue that is the hallmark of all relations that last longer. Without honesty no relationship can survive long. Honesty and friendship complement each other. Usually human beings by nature are honesty loving beings. They love to continue their relationships with those who are honest only. Lack of honesty is deemed to be equal to cheating. If a man or woman comes to know that his friend is not being honest, they tend to lose trust in them. Friendship without trust can’t stand long.

Life is full of examples that teach us how crucial honesty is in friendship. Even in works of fiction we read how longstanding friendship is undermined by slightest doubts about dishonesty of a friend. Each human being in his/her life experiences the pain of heartbreak on account of a dishonest friend. However, there are some great examples of honest friends whose friendship stands as an inspiring role model for each one of us.

So, honesty is the cement that binds two or more friends. We must maintain honesty in our relationship with our friends to enjoy the delights and joys for perpetuating friendship.
