Answer:

The Indian desert

The Indian desert extends towards the Western edge of the Aravali ranges. It is a moving sandy field embraced with sand knolls. This area experiences below 150 mm per year rainfall, which is very low. The arid climate and moderate vegetation are the two most important features of the Indian desert.

The central highlands

The part of the Peninsular plateau lying to the north of the Narmada river, covering a major area of the Malwa plateau, is known as the Central Highlands. The Central Highlands are wider in the west but narrower in the east.

The Island Groups of India

India has two main important groups of islands-the Lakshadweep islands and the Andaman and Nicobar islands. While the Lakshadweep islands are located in the Arabian Sea, the Andaman and Nicobar islands lie in the Bay of Bengal. The Lakshadweep group of islands are composed of small coral islands.
