• lactobacillus is used to form curd from milk
• many vaccines are prepared from microorganisms
• microorganisms are used in preparation of bread and cake
• they are also used in cleaning up the environment
• bacteria are also used in preparation of medicines
• in agriculture they are used to increase soil fertility by fixing nitrogen
• yeast is used for commercial production of alcohol and wine
• Penicillium is used to produce antibiotics
• rhizobium help in nitrogen fixation in soil
• bacteria are involved in making of cheese pickles and many more food items

microorganisms are harmful for us in the following ways :-

• microorganisms are harmful in many ways
• some of the microorganism causes diseases in human being plants and animals some of the common diseases affecting humans are Cholera, typhoid tuberculosis etc.
• microorganism causes diseases in animals such as Anthrax is dangerous human and cattle disease used by bacteria
• disease causing microorganism in plants like wheat rice potato sugarcane etc
• some of the microorganism grow on food and cause food poisoning
