The chromosome numbers of bee are different. There are 32 chromosomes in female honey bee which are Queen or workers bee. Out of 32 chromosomes in female honey bee, 16 chromosomes are from the queen’s egg and 16 chromosomes are from the sperm of the drones.

Drones are male honey bee. In drone there are 16 chromosomes only as they hatch from the unfertilized queen bee’s egg. So in drone there are only one chromosome set.
