Guru Amar Das was the third Guru of the Sikhs. He became the guru in the year 1552 and continued till he died at the age of 95.
He had very modern views and discouraged the Muslim women from covering their face with the veils or the Hindus who followed the Sati system.
He asked the Kshatriyas to fight for good cause and justice.
