Answer: Simla's temperature = (-7/2) °C = - 3.5 °C

Dalhousie's temperature = - 5 °C

Manali's temperature = (-8/5) °C = - 1.6 °C

(a) Arrange the temperatures of these hill stations in ascending order.

- 5 °C < - 3.5 °C <  - 1.6 °C

⇒ Dalhousie's temperature  < Simla's temperature < Manali's temperature

(b) Which place will they decide to visit?

As Kavita's mother asked her to find out the maximum temperature of a few hill stations for deciding on the place to visit.

The place with maximum cold temperature will be chosen, therefore, they will choose Manali hill station with the highest temperature of - 1.6 °C

(c) What value is exhibited in the above situation?

The value exhibited in the above situation is that most people decide to visit more coolest place or hill station than the other places with more heat.
