this is not a misadventure.
he tried his level best.
in fact great scientists forget something.
he should not be discouraged.
he have to get an encouragement from friends and family.
setbacks are inevitable in our life.
we have to overcome setbacks to reach our ultimate goal.
i shall help him how to memorize all his content through some tips like meditation. we can become an icon in our profession through hard work and encouragement.
from my side i will encourage him.
i think he become nervous and tense due to his stage fear. i will suggest some remedies to him to recover it.
1.Extra practice than usual.
2. Giving your speech in class room frequently.
3. Meditation.
4. Establishing frequent communication with teachers and friends that helps him to memorize the things that he want to express
hope this helps you.

The debate has started. Your team and the opposition are at the stage. All have taken their place, including the speaker and the judge. And your friend has now forgotten what he had to say, out of anxiety or fear. (I'm assuming it's a he for the sake of simplicity.) This is not a very unusual incident, considering the fact that many debaters memorise their speech.
Why should you even care?
It's your duty to help him/her out. Even if you aren't his friend or well-acquainted with him, there is no reason as to why you shouldn't care. He is a member of the team. Every team member's performance plays a key factor in determining whether the team as a whole will lose or win. Do it for the sake of the team, if not for yourself.
What can you do?
The debate team members from each side have had practice sessions together with a mentor. Therefore, you must know at least something about his speech content.
Jot down the bullet points on a cue card. You can provide him with some points of your own, as well. Explain those to him. Anything learnt by rote soon fades out of memory. So, make sure your friend understands and learns those, instead of memorising.
You can't chat on and on during the debate session. Be careful. Try to keep your voice level at a minimum. Speak as little as possible. You have to listen to the opposition's speech too.
Hope this helps you! :-)
