Given,

Initial velocity( u ) =0

Final velocity ( v ) = 40 km/h

= ( 40 × 5 / 18 ) m/s

= ( 100 / 9 ) m/s

Time ( t ) = 10 s

Acceleration ( a ) = ?

a = ( v - u ) ÷ t

= { ( 100 / 9 ) m/s - 0 } ÷ 10 s

= { ( 100 / 9 ) m/s } ÷ 10 s

= ( 10 / 9 ) m / s^2.

Hope it helps !!
