A field is in the form of an equilateral triangle of side 100m . a horse is tide to a vertex of the field with a 10m rope.over what area can the horse graze.

Hi Mansi ,

It will be equivalent to finding the area of a sector of a circle
angle = 60 ...since its an equilateral triangle
radius = length of the rope = 10m
Sector area
= ∅/360 * π * r^2
= 60/360 * π * 10^2
= π/6 * 100
= 16.67π sq metres
