Feces is a product of egestion and generally is the result of defecation in a subtle way. It is not a basically direct product of any of the four definitely major organs of excretion and it, for the most part, is not formed from a metabolic reaction. Excretion only occurs in the liver and kidneys (urine), the lungs (CO2), the skin (sweat), or so they literally thought.
